The Microphone

The cornerstone of the VMS is the ML-1, a large-diaphragm condenser microphone. Designed to offer a flat, clean, and linear response, the ML-1 serves as a 'blank canvas' for the accompanying modelling software.

Microphone Models

• FG-47: Emulates a famous vintage tube microphone, versatile for vocals, kick drums, room mics, guitars, horns, and strings.
• FG-M7: Inspired by a famous dynamic vocal mic, adds the tube stage of the classic 47, making it punchy and crisp.
• FG-800: Recreates a popular modern tube mic, known for its bright and airy top end and warm bottom.
• FG-251: Emulates a sought-after vintage tube mic, known for being crisp, warm, and flattering on a variety of voices.
• FG-800M: A variant of the FG-800, slightly fatter and darker.

The Software

The VMS includes a comprehensive digital processing suite featuring classic tube microphone models, the FG-73 British discrete preamp module, and the FG-76 German tube preamp module. The software operates with low latency, enabling real-time tracking.
