Warm Audio have released an update to their flagship 'WA-87’ condenser microphone. The new 'WA-87 R2’, previously only available in classic Nickel can now be purcahsed in Black. The mic features top-quality components such as a Fairchild NOS transistor, high-bandwidth polystyrene and film capacitors from Wima and Nichicon.

Much like the original WA-87, the R2 uses the same capsule design, similar to ones found in vintage mics and custom CineMag USA Transformers. However, the WA-87 R2 offers a slightly higher output level and a better frequency response.

Warm Audio are also pleased to announce that the WA-12 MKII mic pre-amp is receiving a new improved design. Previous orange models will now be phased out and replaced with the stylish new black model.
